Step 5 - Colorcoating and/or Sealing

Once the texture coat application dries, the next step is to apply a colorcoat and/or clear sealer. Ultra Surface Colorcoat 100 can be applied to acheive a more uniform appearance. It is available in Concrete Gray or 25 standard colors (click here to see color chart). Custom colors are also available. When using Colorcoat 100 over the broom finish, it can be diluted with 1 to 2 parts water to achieve a more natural cement look, instead of a painted look. For best results when colorcoating, pigment the broom finish material to the same color as the colorcoat being used. Integral colors are available to mix with the polymer concrete mixes in the same color as Colorcoat 100. Once Colorcoat 100 dries, it is recommended to apply one or two coats of Ultra Surface Sealcoat 1000 clear to achieve extra stain resistance against dirt, oil and tire marks, especially on driveways.
