5 Step procedure for Applying an Ultra Surface® Color Flake System

Step 1 - Surface Preparation
Step 2 - Crack Repair
Step 3 - Patching and/or Resurfacing
Step 4 - Prime Coat and Color Flake Broadcast
Step 5 - Remove Loose Color Flakes and Apply the Topcoat Sealer

Step 1: Surface Preparation

Before applying an Ultra Surface Product System the surface must be clean and sound, free from oil, dirt or any other contaninants that may interfere with bonding. For residential jobs follow the steps below. For large commercial job applications shotblasting is recommended (See fig. 5)

Power scrub surface w/detergent and rinse.

Acid wash with 1 part acid to 4 parts water.

Neutralize with 1 part ammonia to 10 parts water.

Pressure wash to clean and rinse.

Shotblasting is recommended for large commercial job applications.
