5 Step procedure for Ultra Surface® 1/4" STAMPING System

Step 1 - Surface Preparation
Step 2 - Crack Repair
Step 3 - Patching holes, spalls and low spots
Step 4 - Spreading the Squeegee/Bond Coat and 1/4" Stamping Mix
Step 5 - Troweling, Stamping, Antiquing and Sealing

Step 5 - Troweling, Stamping, Antiquing and Sealing

After smoothing out the surface as good as possible with the fresno, allow the stamping mix to dry 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the temperature, before troweling it a second time. Lightly fog the surface with water to make it easier to trowel and to achieve a smoother finish. It is possible to stamp without troweling a second time as long as the material is stamped early enough in the softer stage. Accelerator is available to speed up the drying time indoors or in colder temperatures.

After the Stamping Mix has set up for 30 minutes to 2 hours (depending on temperature) it can be fogged with water and troweled again while wearing spiked shoes.

When ready, spray Ultra Surface Liquid Release (clear or colored with antique powder) over a section and begin stamping.

The next day after stamping, find your marks and snap lines over the center of all crack repaired joints that were covered.

Fig. 5
Sawcut all the covered joints back open. Cut at least 2" deep to get through all the crack repair materials and stamping mix.

Apply more antiquing if needed and 2-3 coats of Ultra Surface® Stamped Concrete Sealer.
